Product Definition
Lipstick Tubes are the most complex among all cosmetic packaging materials. They are composed of multiple components and are functional packaging made up of different materials. In terms of the material body, they are divided into volatile and non-volatile types (airtight/non-airtight). Moreover, most of the filling is done automatically by machines (pre-filling, post-filling, direct filling, etc.), including the filling methods of lipstick tubes. Poor tolerance control or unreasonable design in the combination of different parts, even if there is an error in the way lubricating oil is applied, can cause shutdown or functional abnormality.
Manufacturing process
- Basic materials
Lipstick tubes are classified into all-plastic lipstick tubes, aluminum-plastic composite tubes, etc. Among them, the commonly used plastic materials are PC, ABS, PMMA, ABS+SAN, SAN, PCTA, PP, etc., while the commonly used aluminum material models are 1070, 5657, etc. Some users also use materials such as zinc alloy and sheepskin as the materials for lipstick tube accessories to indicate that the product's temperament is in line with the brand's tone.
- Forming process
The plastic material of the lipstick tube is mainly made by injection molding process, such as the cover, base and related accessories inside the center core.
- Surface treatment
There are many surface treatment processes available for lipstick tubes. For plastic parts, surface treatment processes such as spraying, electroplating, evaporation, laser engraving, and inlays can be used. As for aluminum products, processes such as oxidizable electroplating and anodizing can be adopted.
- Graphic and text printing
The lid and base of the lipstick tube can be processed with graphic and text information by using processes such as silk-screen printing, gold/silver hot stamping, pad printing, heat transfer printing, and water transfer printing according to the user's requirements.
